Requirements
What you need before installing DivisionCero Self-hosting: a DigitalOcean or Hostinger account, a domain, SSH access and a license plan.
Before installing
Make sure you have the following before you start the installation:
Account with a supported provider
- DigitalOcean: to deploy a Droplet.
- Hostinger: to deploy a VPS.
Infrastructure costs are billed directly by the provider and are not included in DivisionCero plans.
Domain
A domain or subdomain to access the platform (for example, security.yourcompany.com) and access to its DNS settings to point it to the server.
Server access
- SSH access to the server with an SSH key (recommended over a password).
- A person on the team responsible for managing the server, its updates and backups.
License
- Community: no purchase required; check that you meet the conditions of the DivisionCero License.
- Paid plans: buy the plan on the pricing page before installing.
Cybersecurity best practices
- 🔐 Enable multi-factor authentication (MFA) on the provider account.
- 🧱 Expose only the necessary ports (SSH, HTTP and HTTPS).
- 💾 Enable the automatic backups the provider offers.
- 🔄 Keep the server's operating system up to date.
