Installing on DigitalOcean
Guide to installing DivisionCero Self-hosting on a DigitalOcean Droplet: creating the server, domain, installation and license activation.
Installing on DigitalOcean
Before you start, review the requirements.
Create the Droplet
In the DigitalOcean dashboard, create a new Droplet with Ubuntu LTS, choose the region closest to your team and add your SSH key as the authentication method.
Configure the firewall
Create a Cloud Firewall in DigitalOcean and assign it to the Droplet, allowing only incoming SSH (22), HTTP (80) and HTTPS (443) traffic.
Point your domain
Create a DNS record of type A that points your domain or subdomain to the Droplet's public IP. You can do this in DigitalOcean (Networking → Domains) or with the provider where you manage your domain.
Install DivisionCero
Connect to the Droplet over SSH and follow the installation instructions in the DivisionCero repository.
Activate your license
If you have a paid plan, activate the license provided by DivisionCero. This step isn't needed with the Community edition.
Enable backups
In the Droplet settings, enable DigitalOcean's automatic Backups.
