Strong, Secret Passwords

How to create strong passwords and keep them secret

A password is like the secret key to your account, and just as you wouldn't lend the key to your house to just anyone, you shouldn't share your password with anyone, not even your best friend, because once another person knows it, it's not really secret anymore. For a password to be strong and hard to guess, it's best to mix uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers and a symbol, and not use something obvious like your name or your birthday, which anyone could find out just by looking at your profile. A fun trick is to think of a phrase you like, such as your pet's name together with your favorite food and a special number, to create something easy for you to remember but almost impossible for someone else to guess, and it's always a good idea to tell a trusted adult where you keep your passwords in case you ever forget them.
