Secure Authentication and Remote Access Management
How to log in securely from a distance
When you work outside the office, the password is no longer the only barrier between an attacker and the company's systems, because you no longer have the protection of the corporate network around you. That's why multi-factor authentication, that additional code that arrives on your phone or that an app generates, becomes so important, since even if someone manages to steal your password, they won't be able to get in without that second element. A common slip is approving login notifications out of habit, without checking whether it was really you who tried to log in, which completely cancels out the second factor's protection. It's also worth using different passwords for each system and avoiding storing them in notes or browsers without additional protection, relying instead on a trustworthy password manager. Managing your remote access well means treating each login with the same attention you would if someone knocked on the office door asking to come in.
