Roadmap for the Progressive Adoption of Zero Trust
How to migrate in phases without stopping operations
Adopting Zero Trust isn't a change implemented overnight, but a progressive process that usually begins with a detailed inventory of identities, devices and data flows, followed by implementing multi-factor authentication and conditional access, and then moving toward microsegmentation and continuous verification as the organization matures. In practice, trying to jump straight to a full Zero Trust model without this gradual approach usually causes serious operational disruptions, blocking legitimate access that nobody documented beforehand and generating internal resistance to the whole project. A realistic roadmap usually prioritizes the most critical systems first, such as access to financial or customer data, applying the strictest policies there while the rest of the organization migrates in parallel, making it possible to show early value and adjust the approach before scaling it to the whole company.
