DevSecOps: Integrating Security into DevOps

DevSecOps starts from a simple idea: security can't be a final review before going to production, because by then fixing a problem is much more expensive and slower than if it had been detected during development. In practice, this means integrating automated security controls into the same pipeline development and operations teams already use, instead of creating a separate process run exclusively by a security team. Code analysis tools, dependency scanning and automated tests run on every change, giving the developer feedback in minutes instead of weeks. The cultural change is as important as the technical one: every developer becomes responsible for the security of their own code, not just for it working correctly.
