Managing Shared Access and Credentials
Access control for corporate social networks
In many companies, several people on the marketing team share access to the official social media accounts, and that's where the problem usually starts, because a password shared over chat or saved in a spreadsheet can end up in the wrong hands without anyone noticing. Managing this access well means using password managers, assigning roles and permissions according to what each person really needs to do, and revoking access immediately when someone leaves the team. Platforms such as Meta Business Suite or centralized management tools allow you to grant access without revealing the actual password, which reduces the risk of a corporate account being hijacked by a disgruntled former employee or through carelessness on public Wi-Fi networks.
