Unified Endpoint Management (UEM) Platforms

Managing the whole fleet from a single console

Unified endpoint management platforms, known as UEM, make it possible to manage computers, phones and tablets from a single console regardless of their operating system, applying configuration policies, distributing patches, installing authorized software and remotely wiping data in case of loss or theft. Their practical value is especially high in organizations with large or geographically distributed fleets, where managing each device manually would be unfeasible and would create inconsistencies attackers could exploit. A concrete example is remotely locking a laptop stolen at an airport, where the IT team can, from the UEM platform, encrypt or wipe the disk remotely before the thief manages to extract sensitive information, something impossible to do with devices managed manually and in a decentralized way.
